In summer 2019, three undergraduate and two graduate students from UMass Amherst traveled to the new Mt. Ida campus to complete a greenhouse gas inventory and evaluate clean energy opportunities for energy reductions through system controls, space management, and building energy efficiency measures, as well as for renewable energy generation on campus. The students used skills and techniques they had learned in a spring 2019 course led by Clean Energy Extension faculty and staff.
The team's final report and findings are now available on the CEE website: https://ag.umass.edu/clean-energy/student-engagement/mount-ida-greenhouse-gas-inventory
